Capelets, Shawls, and Scarves, Oh My

Hey My Crocheters!

I have been so torn in what to write for this post. I decided to talk about some fun garments that are very versatile.

Capelets: These are like and expanded cowl or a super cropped sweater. Capelets go over your head and shoulders, but they do not have sleeves. These are cute and an easy way to add warmth to an outfit. I would add this to a sleeveless shirt if the weather didn’t hold up.

Shawls: These are so versatile since they are bigger garments that can be draped over the shoulders or wrapped around like a scarf. I really like shawls for the Fall and Spring since the weather can go from chilly to hot or vice versa in the course of just a few hours. Shawls are easy to wear and make.

Scarves: These are great for any cold weather. They can be so comforting and cozy. I love the idea of the oversized scarves because they are so fun and huge. When it’s cold out I want to be comfy, cozy and big warm garments give me that feeling.

I’m wearing my Galaxy Snood in this photo. You can get the pattern free here on the blog or you can purchase the premium pattern from my Etsy or Ravelry shops.

These are just my thoughts since the weather is going to start changing here in Colorado. I hope this gives some inspiration to create and make fabulous things!

Happy Hooking!
