Hey there!
Welcome to another Color me Friday!
This month I will be focusing on love and Valentine’s Day related color palettes. This week is Cupid the Greek god of love. Cupid is often associated with Valentine’s Day because of his ability to make people fall in love. There are numerous poems and stories about Cupid and how he is a playful and unpredictable. In the tales he carries two sets of arrows. A golden tipped one for love and a lead tipped one for hatred. This is where the playful and unpredictable nature comes in.
If there is a Cupid in your life, I hope he is making fun with the golden tips!
This week I focused on color of Cupid’s wings and hair along with his sash and the darker green in the background to balance this palette.
Ways to use this color palette:
This color palette would be great for any crochet project to introduce those warm and deep festive colors of love. The pink really pops against the yellow, dark green, and off-white. This would make an adorable top, sweater, or blanket.
The palette would also make a wonderful palette for a themed monthly calendar, a cute card to give to a loved one, or even party invites. The sky is the limit!
