Get to Know Yarn Packin’ Mama

Hey there!

Today I wanted to give background on me, Yarn Packin’ Mama. I do have an about me section but I wanted to delve a little deeper. Here we go.

Hi my name is Andrea and I am the brains behind Yarn Packin’ Mama. I created this business in 2022 after being so inspired my the Crochet Summit put on by the Crochetprenuer. It was a wonderful summit and I have attended every year since. I created this business because of my love of crochet! Crochet is my light source for my personal time. It allows me to focus on creating something beautiful and put my stressor aside for that time. Then I get an amazing piece at the end! My passion is crochet and learning new things about crochet. I also enjoy watching Naruto and spending time with my family. I’m very family oriented and they mean the world to me. That is why I really wish to create a community through my business. Personal connection is very important.

I’m not just a crochet designer. I also have a full time job as an accountant. I thankfully enjoy my job since I’m at it so much. During Covid restrictions we were able to work fully remote. Not anymore sadly. We have had to return to the office full time and that has made it so I have to get creative about how and when I create my weekly content. It’s a good challenge because I’m forced to think a little out of the box.

Finally, I’m in the Navy Reserve. I have been serving for a long time and I enjoy the people I work with. I like the job too, but I don’t like how it takes me away from my family some times. That is why I will be taking a five week hiatus. I will be away for some training. So I have to pause the content and designing. I will be right back at it when I return though!
