Hey there!
Welcome to another Color me Friday!
This month I will be focusing on Northern birds. This week’s color palette inspiration is the Great Honed Owl. Owls are truly amazing creatures. The Great Horned Owl in particular has tufts of feathers above their eyes giving the illusion of horns. They have large yellow eyes that are quite striking. They can, like other owls, turn their heads 270 degrees. It is really wild to see this in person. The Great Horned Owl is a pretty large bird. Their wing span can be up to two meters. They also have special feathers on their wings so there is noise reduction when they fly in order to surprise their prey. Overall, owls are really cool and the Great Horned Owl is no exception.
Ways to use this color palette:
This color palette would be great for any crochet project to have those warm browns and yellows. These colors would make a great cardigan or sweater. The warmth would be felt from both the project and the colors.
