What You Didn’t Know About the Poinsettia - Palette

Hey there!

Welcome to another Color me Friday!

This month I will be focusing on Winter flora for the Color Me Fridays. This week’s color palette inspiration is the Poinsettia.

Fact about the Poinsettia:

The Poinsettia is native to Mexico and Central America. It was brought to the U.S. by Ambassador Poinsettia in the 1820s which is where the plant name came from. The plant is associated with Christmas because Spanish friars living in Mexico put the flowers out at the time. This day is marked as national poinsettia day to commemorate the Ambassador’s death day.

Ways to use this color palette:

I think this color palette would be great for any crochet project to have those classic Christmas colors. It is also great to bring pop of colors to digital cards, party invitations and calendars. Let’s get into the season!
