Today’s stitch tutorial is about Arch Mesh. This is an open stitch that has a cute effect. It uses basic stitches and chains to create the mesh look. This is an easy way to start working on mesh or lacy projects because the stitch placement is easy to find.

Things to know about Arch Mesh
It has a multiple of 4 plus 1 + 5 for the chain.
It uses only single and double crochet stitches.
It uses chains to create the mesh.
After the initial set up it is a two row repeat.
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Ch-Sp: Chain Space
Dc: Double Crochet
Rep: Repeat
Sc: Single Crochet
Sk: Skip
St: Stitch
Ch multiple of 4 plus 1 + 5 for the Ch.
Row 1: Sc in 10th Ch from the hook, Ch 5, Sk 3, Sc; Rep from to end, turn.
Row 2: Ch 6, Sc in Ch-Sp, Ch 5; Rep to last Ch-Sp, Sc in last Ch-Sp, Ch 2, Dc in 4th Ch of Ch-9, turn.
Row 3: Ch 6, Sc in Ch-5 Sp, Ch 5, Sc in next Ch-5 Sp; Rep from to last Ch-Sp, turn.
Row 4: Ch 6, Sc in Ch-Sp, Ch 5; Rep to last Ch-Sp, Sc in last Ch-Sp, Ch 2, Dc in 4th Ch of Ch-6, turn.
Rep Rows 3-4 until desired size.
