Hey there!
Today’s stitch tutorial is about the Extended Half Double Crochet stitch. This is a great stitch if you need a tiny bit extra height from a half double crochet stitch. It isn’t much different than a traditional half double crochet stitch. It just has an extra yarn over and pull through. This stitch is super beginner friendly and will add a little more visual interest than a normal half double crochet stitch.

Things to know about the Extended Half Double Crochet Stitch
It does not have a multiple
It is worked just like a half double crochet stitch except and extra yarn over and pull through
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
EHdc: Half Double Crochet
Rep: Repeat
St: Stitch
Yo: Yarn Over
Special Stitches:
Extended Half Double Crochet:
Yarn over hook and insert into stitch.
Yarn over and pull through (3 loops on hook).
Yarn over and pull through one loop (3 loops on hook).
Yarn over and pull through all loops.
Ch as many as you like for desired width.
Row 1: In the 4th Ch from the hook EHdc across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, EHdc across, turn
Row 3: Rep Row 2 until desired length.
This is such an easy stitch to master. It really opens the door to building confidence for beginners and adding interest for the seasoned crocheter.
