Hey there!
Today’s stitch tutorial is about the Suzette or Grit stitch. This stitch pattern creates a beautiful texture and uses only two basic stitches. It uses the Single and Double Crochet Stitches worked in the same stitch. It would make a really pretty and cozy blanket. I have plans to incorporate it into a backpack and workout headband design.

Let’s dive in! You can also find the video tutorial on my YouTube Channel.
Things to know about the Suzette/Grit stitch:
It has an even multiple, so just chain a multiple of 2 and your set.
It is a one row repeat. Perfect for a mindless crochet project.
The Single Crochet and Double Crochet stitches are worked into the same stitch
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Dc: Double Crochet
Rep: Repeat
Sc: Single Crochet
Sk: Skip
St: Stitch

Row 1: Sc in the 2nd Ch from the hook, [Sc, Dc in the same Ch, Sk 1] Rep until two Chs left, Sk 1, Sc, turn
Row 2: [Sc, Dc in the same St, Sk 1] Rep until two Sts left, Sk 1, Sc, turn

That is all there is to this lovely textured stitch. It is perfect for beginners and advanced crocheters alike.
Happy hooking!
