Hey My Crocheters!
I recently posted video tutorials on my Youtube Channel showing how to Granny Stitch in Rows (https://youtu.be/m2AOtuarqOQ?si=na8taqbH8BOko-p7) and Rounds (https://youtu.be/uAfF55m5FIk?si=W1XiyshI72he-Yt3). Now I am going to give the written instructions here with the links to the videos. Let's dive in.
I recently had my tech editor mention that the Granny Stitch is not a common term in crochet. Which is crazy since it is the iconic crochet stitch. However, what she did tell me is that the appropriate way to notate it in written form is CL for cluster. So here is the updated written instruction for a CL granny stitch style. For the round you will have to remember to keep a flat circle then you will need to increase evenly.
CL: Cluster: 3 Dc in same St or Sp indicated
CL and repeat for as many stitches as desired for the length or size of your project.
I hope this inspires and helps. Happy Hooking!
