Today’s stitch tutorial is about the Crossed Double Crochet stitch. This stitch uses double crochet stitches to make a lightly textured fabric that is stunning. It is a great way to explore crochet and start playing with stitch placement. Since there is a skipped stitch that you work back into.

Things to know about the Crossed Double Crochet Stitch.
It is worked in a multiple of 2 plus 1.
It is a two row repeat.
It uses regular double crochet stitches.
It is best to keep your tension a little loose on the crossed stitch.
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Dc: Double Crochet
Rep: Repeat
Sc: Single Crochet
Sk: Skip
St: Stitch
Yo: Yarn Over
Special Stitches/Techniques:
Crossed Dc: Crossed Double Crochet:
Yarn over and insert hook into skipped stitch, (yarn over and pull through 2 loops) two times to complete a Dc.
Ch in a multiple of 2 plus 1 for the Ch.
Row 1: In the second Ch from the hook Sc, Sc across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as Dc), [Sk 1, Dc, Crossed Dc] Rep until last St, Dc, turn.
Row 3: Sc across, turn
Rep Rows 2-3 until desired size met.
