How to Crochet the Trinity Stitch

Hey there!

Today’s stitch tutorial is about the Trinity stitch. This stitch pattern creates a neat texture and is a one row repeat. This stitch pattern uses single crochet, chains, and clusters. It is similar to the Spike Cluster stitch in the way that you collect loops on your hook in different stitches. It is called the Trinity stitch because you collect loops through three stitches in the row. With it being a one row repeat it is easy to use this for a relaxing crochet session.

Let’s dive in! You can also find the video tutorial on my YouTube Channel.

Things to know about the Trinity stitch:

  • It has an even multiple.

  • It is a one row repeat. Perfect for a mindless crochet project.

  • The turning chains do not count as stitches if you choose to make a chain 1 turning chain at the beginning of each row.

  • The first and last stitch made will always be a single crochet stitch.

  • The Trinity stitch begins in the previously completed stitch.

  • Do Not chain 1 between the last Trinity stitch and single crochet stitch. Also, Do Not chain one after the first single crochet of the row.
