Hey there!
Today’s stitch tutorial is about the Chevron (Ripple) stitch. This stitch pattern creates a cool texture and uses only one basic stitch. This version uses the Single Crochet Stitch. There is another version that I found which is similar to the long wave stitch pattern. Where it uses all of the basic stitches from Single Crochet to Treble Crochet. That version has the same overall visual effect. I chose to go over the simpler version. This stitch pattern would be great for a cozy blanket or scarf. I have plans to incorporate it into a wrap design.
Let’s dive in! You can also find the video tutorial on my YouTube Channel.
Things to know about the Chevron (Ripple) stitch:
It has a multiple of 11 + 2.
It is a one row repeat. Perfect for a mindless crochet project.
It would be best to work this stitch pattern by alternating colors at least every 2 rows. It will make the chevrons pop.
